Artificial grass in the winter
Artificial grass is perfect for those wet and muddy winter months. It takes the stress out of your pets or children bringing mud back into the house while still allowing them to enjoy the outside!
How to look after artificial grass in the snow and Ice
Your artificial grass garden will not be damaged by long icey periods, and the grass will not break when walked on. It will however become slippy so be careful!
If you tread snow into your artificial grass lawn and it forms a layer of ice do not remove it by hand as this could damage your artificial grass. Instead, you should let the snow melt naturally.
Alternatively, you can use salt but be careful doing this too! The salt residue can remain on the carpet backing of your artificial grass and frequent use can interfere with the draining effect of your lawn.
To make your artificial grass snow-free, use a plastic snow shovel. Do not use a metal one as metal ones can damage the grass fibres
Is artificial grass okay in the rain
Traditional grass lawns take a lot of upkeep during the winter, the (what seems like constant rain) can have a seriously negative impact on your garden, leaving areas flooded, boggy and unusable. Artificial grass takes this stress away, it can put up with the bad weather and the quality won’t be affected!
All of our grass is of the highest quality giving you no reason to worry about your grass during the winter.
