How is artificial grass installed?
We work to the highest standards to ensure your new artificial grass is laid perfectly, and looks its best. To help you understand what we’re up to when we’re on site, we’ve summarised some of the steps below!
Dig out your existing lawn to a depth of approximately 3”/75mm and level the ground off
Install a non woven geo textile weed barrier to prevent growth of weeds from below
Concentrate around the perimeter of the lawn for a solid, secure, permanent edge. We can also use a brick/slab edging
Infill the area with hardcore/type 1, level off and vibrate down
Blind off the area with a thin layer of sharp sand, vibrate down and level off
Lay your chosen grass in place and pile brush
Cut in your new artificial lawn, taking care to cut in all edges perfectly
Glue any joints and the perimeter to ensure a securely fixed lawn
Check over the lawn, removing any debris and waste
Sit back, relax and enjoy your beautiful new lawn
